Batteries for a two-week-long night

NASA is offering a $1.5 million prize to develop an energy storage system that could store enough power to run a moon rover for 14 days. The power would be gathered from the solar arrays during the lunar days. Why 14 days? Each lunar day and each lunar night lasts for two Earth weeks.
