‘Smart Fingertips’, Virtual Sensations

The Wii has brought gesture input int a computer to the masses, but the reverse process — physical output from the computer, is still an issue. Haptic feedback, in which you feel a sensation, is still rare and problematic. (Okay, there are video games that shake you but that’s pretty crude.) A ScienceNOW article describes a recent tactic:
