how glorious is the library

Dale Edmonds, who is both a person whose writing I respect and the founder of Riverkids (whose purpose and accomplishments I respect like crazy) was talking about books, recently. And a trip to her local library. She said this, and I felt the need to pass it on:

Seriously, how glorious is the library as a third space?… the very concept of a public space meant for people to come together and learn and share is so fundamentally good.
